Preparing for Surgery

Doctors may suggest surgery if other treatments have failed. Surgery is a major decision you must make with your physician.  This tool was designed to help you prepare for surgery by presenting questions to ask your doctor during your pre-op visit, providing an overview of what you can expect when preparing for surgery and general recommendations for how you can prepare for surgery.  It is important that you speak with your surgeon to determine if these recommendations are appropriate for you.
